Bed and Breakfast Back in Business!

July 2021 – With Nova Scotia and the rest of the country opening back up I thought this would be a good time to touch base.

Covid-19 and its variants are still amongst us and likely will be for some time. At Seaweed and Sod Farm Bed and Breakfast we are continuing to take precautions to ensure everyone’s health and safety. Dave and I have (re)certified for the Clean it Right program. This program aligns with the Nova Scotia Bed and Breakfast Association’s (NSBBA) Enhanced Cleaning Protocols adopted in 2020.

Whale Room

We have made a significant change to our Bed and Breakfast for 2021. Pre-pandemic we offered two separate bedrooms with a shared bath. Even I do not want to share a bathroom with strangers these days, so we created a Two Bedroom Suite with Private Bath. It can accommodate 1 to 4 guests or a family up to 5 (6 if there is a babe in arms).

Procedures implemented in 2020 remain:

  • Private Guest Entrance
  • Contactless Check in and Check Out
  • Information binder and Guest Book is online.
  • Breakfast served in the sitting room.

For everyone’s safety:

  • Dave and I are fully vaccinated (as of July 10th)
  • We will adhere to the 6 feet social distance protocol (or “llama distance” as I call it).
  • We will be masked when interacting with the guests unless we are outside.
  • Hand sanitizer will be kept at the entrance and in the bathroom.
  • For guests staying multiple nights, the bathroom will not be cleaned daily unless you request it.
  • High touch points on the main floor will be disinfected daily.
